Live multiplayer race
Server-authoritative timing, 10Hz position broadcast, anti-cheat via keystroke timing. Up to 8 players per room.
Backend not yet deployed
Live multiplayer needs the Cloudflare Worker + Durable Objects to be deployed first. The client code is wired up — flip NEXT_PUBLIC_MULTIPLAYER_ENABLED=1 after running wrangler deploy and the queue + room buttons below will work.
For now: try ghost race mode — it works against any share URL without a backend.
Private room
Create a room with a shareable link. Send to friends to race the same prompt against each other.
How matchmaking works
Quick-match groups typists with similar recent WPM into rooms of 2–4 players, and falls back to wider bands after 30 seconds of waiting. Skill bands are wide enough to find matches fast, narrow enough that races are competitive. Private rooms have no skill restriction.
