Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-14
TypingTest360 is built to be useful without knowing who you are. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to opt out — in plain English.
What we collect, and only when
Anonymous typing test results: when you take a test, the typed text, your speed, accuracy, and the duration are recorded locally in your browser so we can show your result page. If you click Share result, the result is encoded into a shareable URL — that URL contains your stats and an optional handle, nothing else.
Account data (only if you sign up): your email address, a chosen or auto-generated handle, and your typing history. We never sell this. We never share it with advertisers.
Aggregate usage analytics: page views and basic interaction metrics via privacy-respecting analytics (no third-party cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting). Used only to understand what's working and what isn't.
What we never do
- Sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
- Track you across other websites.
- Use third-party advertising trackers or cookies.
- Fingerprint your browser or device.
- Use dark patterns to push email collection.
Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie (tt360_session) if and only if you sign in. That cookie expires after 90 days of inactivity. We don't use any other cookies.
Local storage
Your browser stores three small preferences locally: your typing surface theme, your chosen sound pack, and your recent custom-text prompts. This data never leaves your device. Clear it at any time via your browser's site-data settings.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from your settings page (deletion is permanent and removes all associated typing history). Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws, you also have the right to request a copy of all data we hold about you — email our contact page to request it.
Children
TypingTest360 is not directed to children under 13. If you operate a classroom plan, you're responsible for ensuring student data handling complies with COPPA, FERPA, and any local school-data laws.
Changes to this policy
We'll post any meaningful changes here, with the date updated. Material changes that affect data handling will be announced via the homepage banner for at least 30 days before they take effect.
