Why this test matters
The SSC CHSL skill test trips up thousands of otherwise-qualified candidates every year, not because they type slowly, but because they practise on tools that let them backspace freely and count raw WPM. The real test does neither. With corrections locked, every uncorrected error permanently lowers your net speed, and SSC deducts a full mistake for a wrong or missing word and a half mistake for spacing, capitalisation and punctuation slips. Practising under those exact constraints is the only way to know your true exam-day number. This simulator reproduces the 10-minute window, the 35 WPM English requirement, the disabled Backspace, and the category-wise error tolerance, then tells you plainly whether you would have qualified.
